These are sketches done in Italy in 1972, 1999 and 2014 (in no particular order). The 1972 ones were done during a summer holiday – I had a few bottles of coloured inks by this time, and some felt-tip pens; all the colours came from these.

In the 1999 and 2014 sketches, I’m using a ready-made waterproof ink pen and watercolour.
